Joaquin has been sort of learning to ride his trike all this summer. He managed to basically get pedaling, but he kept getting stuck and his steering was very limited. (I had to keep intervening so he wouldn't kill himself on anything.) We hadn't ridden it in a long time (mostly b/c August and even September have been hellishly hot for Albuquerque and so we've avoided being outside), but this evening was so mild that we had dinner outside. Afterwards Joaquin decided to retry his tricycle. Suddenly it was like a switch had gone off and he was able to ride it. Very bizarre, he started zooming around the table at high speed having what appeared to be an absolutely lovely time. So here's some video of it for you too enjoy.
