We finished August with a visit from our friends Marc and Jenny, yeah! Jenny is pregnant (which you can see in the bottom picture, amazingly enough since she totally does not look that pregnant in normal life!), so we had a little party to celebrate. Then when they came to stay at our house we had a fun morning visiting the Los 
Poblanos Lavender Farm and the Zoo. Joaquin really enjoyed the farm, there were some funny chickens to stare at and some old silos to look at and ask questions about (No seriously, they had some very interesting varieties of chickens, not to mention other random game birds). Not to mention some old farm equipment to play on. Joaquin also had fun trying 
to prepare Marc for fatherhood. Joaquin is very fond of Marc, probably b/c Marc occasionally prefers playing with Joaquin's toys to adult conversation. :) So Joaquin definitely wants Marc's attention when possible. We had a good time with them and the baby shower was definitely fun. This also meant that I got to meet some of other friends' new baby, Santiago. He's completely beautiful and has a head that almost rivals Joaquin, amazing!
